Job summary

E3 Recruitment in Barnsley is seeking a skilled CNC Miller 5 Axis to join a leading engineering organisation. The role focuses on high-precision milling of complex components for regulated industries such as Aerospace and Medical devices.

Working hours are 40 per week on a day shift, with 33 days holiday, private healthcare, and a health cash plan. You will program online using Fanuc controls and set up machines independently.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in mechanical engineering or machining preferred; qualified by experience considered.
• Experience as a CNC Miller producing high-precision components for regulated industries.
• 5-axis machining capability and ability to set machines independently; programming from scratch.
• CAD/CAM experience and familiarity with Fanuc controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program CNC Miller 5 Axis machines for complex components.
• Set up and calibrate machines to tight tolerances.
• Produce components for Aerospace, Medical, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence sectors.
• Maintain quality standards and documentation.

Following a recent change to their organizational structure, this employer is now experiencing an increased workload, and in order to cope with this and maintain their service levels, this employer is actively searching for a fully skilled CNC Miller 5 Axis to join their team on a permanent basis.

For the CNC Miller 5 Axis position, we are searching for individuals who possess the following:

• IDEAL NOT ESSENTIAL: Formal qualifications within a Mechanical Engineering or Machining focused subject (Apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds Level 3, HND, HNC etc.) - candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered
• A strong level of experience spent working as a CNC Miller, ideally producing high precision components for strictly regulated industries (Aerospace, Medical, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence etc.)
• 5 Axis machining experience and specifically able to set machines independently - all machine brands & controls considered
• The ability to Program online from scratch using Fanuc controls - offline is also highly advantageous, all CAD/CAM software packages considered

Working Hours of the CNC Miller 5 Axis:

• 40 Per week, spread across a highly sociable day shift pattern
• Monday to Thursday - 06:00 to 15:00
• Friday - 06:00 to 12:00

The successful CNC Miller 5 Axis will receive:

• Starting Salary: Between £35,360.00-£39,520.00 (£17.00-£19.00 per hour) depending on experience
• Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days (25 days + public holidays)
