Job summary

Optima UK is recruiting a CNC Miller Setter Operator for Warwick. You will set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture high-precision components from engineering drawings, using FANUC controls.

You will upload programs, set tools and fixtures, inspect parts with precision measuring equipment, and perform routine maintenance. The role is afternoons, 39 hours per week, with pay up to £40,921.40 per year (including shift allowance).

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Familiar with FANUC controls and canned cycles.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC Milling machines to manufacture high-precision components.
• Working with FANUC programs including canned cycles.
• Reading and interpreting final and stage engineering drawings.
• Uploading programs into machines and setting tools, chucks, collets and fixtures.
• Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Recording dimensions against drawing requirements during manufacturing.
• Carrying out routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

Commutable from: Leamington Spa, Coventry, Kenilworth, Stratford upon Avon, Rugby

Hours: 39 hours per week

Pay: £40,921.40 Including Shift Allowance

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Thursday: 2:30pm - 11:30pm
• Friday: 12:45PM - 5:30PM

Our client is a precision engineering manufacturer supplying components and assemblies to the aerospace and motorsport industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller Setter Operator to join their production team.

The Role

• You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC Milling machines to manufacture high precision components in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Set and operate CNC Milling machines to produce precision components
• Work with FANUC CNC programs including canned cycles
• Read and interpret final and stage engineering drawings
• Upload programs into machines and set tools, chucks, collets and fixtures
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
• Record dimensions against drawing requirements during the manufacturing process
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
