Job summary

MDE Consultants Ltd is seeking a time served CNC Miller to join an established engineering team in Bristol on a Temporary to Permanent basis. You will operate Fanuc controlled milling machines, read engineering drawings and ensure parts meet exact specifications.

Responsibilities include first-off and in-process inspection, minor programme edits, and maintaining a clean, safe work area within a tight, quality-focused production environment. Standard Mon-Fri hours with no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Time served CNC Miller with apprenticeship-trained or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with Fanuc controls.
• Able to read engineering drawings and interpret tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, punctual and a good team player.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am 4:00pm

The Role

We're looking for a time served CNC Miller to join a well-established engineering operation in Bristol. Working with Fanuc controls, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality precision components while maintaining accuracy and consistency throughout the production process.

Your duties will include:

• Setting and operating CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to produce parts to specification
• Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections using standard measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
• Making minor programme edits/offsets where required
• Identifying and reporting any quality or tooling issues
• Keeping your machine and work area clean and organised
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
