MDE are currently seeking a CNC Miler - Programmer/Setter/Op for an Aerospace & Defence Component manufacturer just outside of Bristol.

The role:

Your role involves ownership - we're looking for someone to take accountability and drive production & quality within the business.

If you're an individual who programmes mills not just for the product, but with the order book, quality, and commercials in mind, this is for you.

On an end-to-end level, it involves controlling the production of programs and conforming parts on the machines, ensuring that the organisation meets its customers' expectations of quality and delivery through the creation (in CADCAM, HyperMILL) of CNC Milling programmes.

To work with the Production Manager, Setter / Operators, and others in the department to promote a right-first-time approach to all tasks.

To adhere to the techniques used within the business, comply with established practices, and promote a continuous improvement ethos.

The skills:

Experience in programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery.

Experience with offline CAM packages - ideally HyperMILL.

Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD packages that utilize models.

Ideally, you can offline programme, prove in Vericut, and edit online on machines such as DMG, Hermle, and Doosan (a good understanding of longhand/ISO and conversational programming would be beneficial).
