Job summary

Cameron in Salterforth, United Kingdom, is seeking a CNC Miller (5-Axis Setter/Operator) to set and operate 5-axis milling machines, read engineering drawings and produce precision components to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience operating 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Proven Mazak machine experience is preferred.
• Background in aerospace machining is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines to perform precise machining.
• Prepare machines and complete setups to meet production requirements.
• Produce components to required specifications from engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret drawings and inspect components for quality.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with the team when required.

As a CNC Miller (5-Axis Setter/Operator), you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machinery to produce high-quality precision components. You will work predominantly independently on machines, while collaborating with the wider team when required.

• Setting and operating 5-axis CNC milling machines
• Preparing machines and completing setups to meet production requirements
• Producing precision-engineered components to required specifications
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Checking finished components to ensure quality standards are maintained
• Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required
• Working independently on machines with minimal supervision
• Collaborating with the wider engineering team when required
  CNC milling setting and operating experience
