Job summary

Optical Precision in Hitchin is seeking an experienced CNC 3 or 5 Axis Miller to set and operate Doosan & Bridgeport machines using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls. The role involves machining precision parts in small batch work quantities to engineering drawings.

You will work on a 4-day week with pension and overtime benefits, in a modern workshop with state-of-the-art machinery, and contribute to high-precision components for aerospace and motorsport sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating 3- or 5-axis milling machines.
• Experience using Fanuc or Heidenhain controls.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to close tolerances.

The Role

The company are looking for an experienced CNC 3 or 5 Axis Miller to set and operate their milling machines (Doosans & Bridgeports) via Fanuc or Heidenhain controls. You will be machining precision parts in small batch work quantities.

Duties

• Setting and operating 3 or 5 axis mills via fanuc or Heidenhain controls.
• Working to close tolerances on a variety of materials to engineering drawings.

Requirements

• Experienced in Setting and Operating Mills.(Doosans / Bridgeports)
• Experienced in Fanuc or Heidenhain controls.
• Understand engineering drawing to close tolerances.
• Experienced machining different types of materials.
