Job summary

Hyde Group Ltd. operates a manufacturing facility in Atherton and is seeking two CNC Millers to join our day shift. You will set up and operate CNC milling machines with Heidenhain or Siemens controls, machining aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel.

Time served apprenticeship required; aerospace/defence experience is advantageous. Overtime opportunities are available, with a competitive salary and 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship with a recognized qualification such as BTEC/City and Guilds.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC Milling Machines with Heidenhain or Siemens controls.
• Experience machining Aluminium, Mild Steel and Stainless Steel; Aerospace/Defence exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines and set up jobs to tight tolerances.
• Load and unload workpieces, monitor tooling wear, and ensure quality checks.
• Collaborate with engineering for continuous improvement and meet production targets.

About the opportunity

As a CNC miller you will have experience of operating a range of CNC Milling machines. It is essential that you can set and operate CNC Milling Machines that operate Heidenhein or Siemens controls. Previous experience of working on Multi Pallet machines would be of benefit. Ideally you will also have experience of machining different types of materials, primarily Aluminium, Mild Steel and stainless steel. Experience in the Aerospace & Defence would be an advantage.

Time served apprentice with a recognized qualification such as BTEC/City and Guilds.

This is a day shift role, working Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 4:00pm and Friday from 7:30am to 12:30pm, with plenty of overtime available.
