Job summary

Daventry, Northamptonshire-based maintenance engineering role with a global manufacturing leader. You will maintain and service a range of CNC machinery, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and support continuous improvement to maximise machine reliability.

Open to engineers from apprenticeships or experienced maintenance backgrounds seeking a long-term career in a high-tech machining environment. Salary £44,000 with £5,000 shift allowance and benefits.

Qualifications

Completed Engineering Apprenticeship (Maintenance Engineering or similar).
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.
Manufacturing or production environment experience.
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
Experience working on industrial plant machinery.

Responsibilities

Reactive breakdown maintenance across a wide range of plant machinery.
Diagnosing and repairing faults on CNC machine tools.
Mechanical maintenance including bearings, ballscrews, leadscrews, spindle checks and measurements.
Electrical fault finding and repair.
PLC fault finding on Siemens systems.
Fault diagnosis on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Supporting continuous improvement and machine reliability initiatives.
Working closely with production to minimise downtime.
