Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – CNC Machining to lead projects in a precision engineering environment. You will manage customer projects end-to-end, deliver on time and within cost, and contribute to manufacturing route planning and offline programming.

The role requires knowledge of CNC/Manual machining, fabrication techniques, and strong Excel/ERP skills. You will read drawings, liaise with teams, and work with external resources as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC level.
• Knowledge of precision engineering processes – CNC machining, manual machining, metal fabrication techniques.
• Excellent inter-personal and presentation skills.
• Competence in Office particularly Excel, Word and Project.
• Good working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings and specifications and break out the details and processes required for each operation required for manufacture.
• Capable of working un-supervised and using own initiative.
• Good eye for detail with a methodical approach to the task in hand.
• UK National due to security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects for customers from start to finish with on-time delivery and within budget.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing routes and offline programming.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external resources to deliver manufacturing solutions.
