Job summary

Paralloy Limited in the Tees Valley is seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve CNC machine tools and automated production equipment. You will handle preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault diagnosis and continuous improvement to keep production running safely and efficiently.

You should have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol or similar), reading drawings, and a proactive

Qualifications

• Proven experience maintaining CNC lathes, machining centres, milling machines, and automated production equipment.
• Strong fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on CNC machine tools and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system faults.
• Troubleshoot CNC controls, drives, motors, sensors, and automated systems to minimise downtime.
• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Install, commission, and modify CNC equipment and production machinery.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine reliability and production efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Work closely with production, engineering, and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Assist with spare parts management and stock control of critical components.
• Support machine upgrades, refurbishments, and capital projects.
