Job summary

The Technical and Engineering Network is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our south-of-the-river engineering operation in WA. You’ll take ownership from engineering drawing through to finished component, setting up jobs, programming from scratch and delivering precise, high‑quality work.

You’ll work closely with an award-winning machinist and the director, enjoying autonomy, problem solving, and continuous improvement opportunities while maintaining rigorous accuracy and workmanship

Qualifications

  • You’ll need to be confident taking a job from engineering drawing through to finished component.
  • Setting up jobs from start to finish and programming from scratch.
  • Operate Okuma lathes, mills, and borers with precision.
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to keep quality.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy and workmanship.
  • Mastercam experience is highly regarded, as is Fanuc milling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Take jobs from engineering drawings through to finished components.
  • Set up, program, and run machines to produce parts.
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues as they arise.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain high accuracy and workmanship standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
