Job summary

V3 Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a CNC Machinist for a role in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will carry out production tasks, ensure quality and assist in setting up CNC and manual machining jobs.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strict adherence to health and safety procedures. Experience in manufacturing or moulding is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator / Machinist.
• Ability to programme, set, and operate CNC machinery.
• Experience within a manufacturing or moulding environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health & safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out set production tasks to required standards
• Confirming product quality and ensuring specifications are met
• Packaging finished products in line with instructions
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Reporting any concerns or issues to supervision
• Complying with all health & safety procedures
• Designing and manufacturing jigs and fixtures where required - desirable
• Establishing and maintaining standard production times - Desirable
• Programming CNC machines when required - Desirable
• Setting up manual machining jobs - Desirable
• Planning work within the 2nd Operations machining area alongside the Supervisor
