Job summary

Technique Recruitment Solutions is recruiting a CNC Miller in Norwich on a permanent basis. You will work 39 hours per week on shift patterns, with overtime paid at time and a quarter.

The role involves programming, setting up and operating CNC mills to produce precision components from technical drawings. You will contribute to maintaining safe practices and high housekeeping standards while collaborating with the cell team to improve methods and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC Milling machines.
• Ability to set up and operate machines with supervision.

Salary: £17 P/H and Overtime is paid at time and a quarter, annual basic salary around £42,000 - £43,200

Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist engineering recruitment company based in Norfolk. We are pleased to be working on behalf of a leader in industrial high speed slicing equipment who are looking for a CNC Miller on a permanent basis.

Hours are 39 hours a week on shift work.

Shift work, alternate lates/earlys

Duties

• Machine high quality components guided by technical drawings and R&S within defined time limits.
• To program new jobs as and when required in the most efficient way possible across Milling or different programming languages or control systems.
• To set up and run different CNC machines with a minimum of supervision. (as above)
• Maintain safe working practices and high standard of housekeeping.
• Constantly advise the Cell Leader on potential alterations to reduce cost and lead times and improve quality.
• Assist in improving methods and productivity.
• Assist with other duties within the cell.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
