Job summary

Reed Engineering & Manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC turning specialist to produce aerospace, oil & gas, and nuclear components using materials such as Inconel, stainless steel and titanium.

You will conduct quality control with precision metrology, working to AS9100 standards, and maintain strict housekeeping and safety practices on site.

The position offers a bonus circa £6,444 and a competitive rewards package in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a high-precision CNC turning environment.
• Strong working knowledge of machine controls (Siemens, Fanuc, Haas or Mori Seiki) is advantageous.
• Apprenticeship or technical training in precision engineering (NVQ, C&G) and maintaining high housekeeping and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Machining: operate CNC lathes to produce aerospace/oil & gas/nuclear parts from Inconel, stainless steels, titanium.
• Quality control: inspect finished components with precision measuring equipment to tight tolerances (AS9100).
• Maintain high housekeeping and health & safety standards on site.

REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with leading Engineering & Manufacturing company

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Machining: Using CNC Lathes to machine parts used within the Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Nuclear sectors working with metals such as Inconel (718), stainless steels and titanium etc


• Quality Control: Inspecting finished components using precision measuring equipment to meet tight tolerances, often working to AS9100 standards.


• Materials: Working with aerospace-grade alloys like Titanium, Stainless Steel, and Inconel.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience in a high-precision CNC turning environment


• Controls: Strong working knowledge of either Siemens, Fanuc, Haas, or Mori Seiki controls would be advantageous
