Job summary

REED Engineering & Manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC turning operator to produce components used in Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Nuclear sectors. You will machine parts on CNC lathes, inspect finished components and ensure adherence to tight tolerances and AS9100 standards.

The role involves working with aerospace-grade alloys such as Inconel, titanium and stainless steel, and requires knowledge of CNC controls (Siemens, Fanuc, Haas or Mori Seiki) plus a relevant apprenticeship or

• Experience in a high-precision CNC turning environment.
• Strong working knowledge of CNC controls (Siemens, Fanuc, Haas or Mori Seiki) is advantageous.
• Apprenticeship or technical training in precision engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Machining components using CNC lathes for Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Nuclear sectors.
• Perform quality control checks on finished components to tight tolerances.
• Handle aerospace-grade materials such as Inconel, titanium, stainless steel and related alloys.

REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with leading Engineering & Manufacturing company

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Machining: Using CNC Lathes to machine parts used within the Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Nuclear sectors working with metals such as Inconel (718), stainless steels and titanium etc
• Quality Control: Inspecting finished components using precision measuring equipment to meet tight tolerances, often working to AS9100 standards.
• Materials: Working with aerospace-grade alloys like Titanium, Stainless Steel, and Inconel.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience in a high-precision CNC turning environment
• Controls: Strong working knowledge of either Siemens, Fanuc, Haas, or Mori Seiki controls would be advantageous
• Education: Apprenticeship, Qualification or technical training in precision engineering.
