Job summary

TECHNICAL PLACEMENTS LIMITED in South Leicester is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate CNC milling or EDM equipment. The role offers training and a 37-hour week across three shifts with a starting rate of £19 per hour including shift allowance.

You will read engineering drawings, set up machines, and inspect parts using manual gauges. Overtime and a bonus are available; experience in aerospace is advantageous. Applicants must have right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in CNC milling or grinding/EDM operations.
• Experience within an Aerospace sector is advantageous.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Able to self-inspect own parts using manual measuring equipment.
• Experience of using machinery is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines in line with workload requirements and quality standards.
• Attain machine setting skills and set up in line with company requirements.
• Ensure fixtures are correctly aligned to engineering drawings.
• Inspect parts per quality procedures and take approved action to resolve issues.
• Operate CMM machines to support inspection requirements.
• Meet production, quality and housekeeping targets as directed by the Cell Manager.
• Comply with all company policies including SOX, Code of Conduct and Health and Safety.
