Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

1. Manufacture parts with CNC machines using industry-standard techniques, adhering to quality assurance procedures.
2. Plan machining jobs from work schedules, engineering drawings, and CAD files.
3. Program new parts and modify existing ones using Mazatrol as needed.
4. Work independently or with team members to determine work holding, tool holding, and tooling requirements.
5. Assemble tools and toolholders and set with a presetter.
6. Design and manufacture fixtures and work holding devices.
7. Anticipate tooling and material needs, check inventory, and place orders as required.
8. Operate conventional machining equipment such as manual machines and saws.
9. Maintain and update manufacturing information per company directives.
10. Ensure safe operations in compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
11. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and repair as necessary.
12. Keep work area clean and organized according to standards.
13. Arrive on time, work overtime and weekends as needed.
14. Take ownership of work, act professionally, and collaborate effectively with others.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

1. High school machining program and/or post-secondary technical training in machining.
2. Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a prototyping or low-volume environment.
3. Experience with Mazak Mazatrol is a plus.
4. Ability to independently set up, prove out, and operate CNC machines, edit programs, and manufacture fixtures.
5. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
6. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, including GD&T.
7. Knowledge of work holding, tool holding, and tooling equipment.
8. Strong math skills and basic computer skills.
9. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
10. Adaptability to changing schedules and demands.
11. Strong communication skills in English.
12. Ability to produce accurate parts to deadlines with quality finish.
