A leading Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer is seeking a time served CNC Machinist to join their team in Teesside. The ideal candidate will operate CNC machines, ensuring high-quality manufacturing of critical subsea components while mentoring colleagues and embracing continuous improvement. Qualifications

  • Experienced time served Machinist required.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles.
  • CNC Turner with Fanuc programming experience preferred.

Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a time served CNC Machinist to join our client based in Teesside. The company in question are an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer with over 40 years of experience in manufacturing critical subsea components. This is a fantastic time to join our client as they have just received considerable investment and are looking to strengthen their place in the market.

THE ROLE

  • Operate CNC machines with expertise in turning and/or milling operations.
  • Perform programming and setup of CNC machines to manufacture products that meet precise quality standards and specifications.
  • Apply knowledge of tolerances, geometric tolerances, and surface finishes to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs, and ring gauges for precise measurement and quality control.
  • Work with a variety of materials including non-ferrous metals, aluminium, alloy steel, stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by accommodating overtime work to meet customer demands.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge in other machining processes.
  • Mentor and train colleagues, sharing your expertise and contributing to team development.

THE PERSON

  • Time served Machinist
  • Understanding Continuous Improvement principles
  • CNC Turner with Fanuc setting/programming experience
  • Millers with Heidenhain setting/programming experience
