Job description

We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our client, working a double day shift. Excellent rates of pay plus shift allowance.

Job Details

• Location: Stroud
• Hourly Rate: Excellent per hour
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Start Date: May 07

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for yourself and others to ensure work is carried out safely and in line with the Company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure the quality of your work, including cleaning and de-burring of parts.
• Support a culture of 5S and safety in your work practices.
• Set machines using setup sheets, tooling/fixtures, and Edgecam programs provided by the Production Engineering Department.
• Operate machines according to specified speeds and feeds, monitoring performance to meet cycle time targets.
• Conduct in-cycle inspection of parts using micrometers, verniers, and coordinate measuring machines; complete Actual Dimensional Report Sheets (ADRS) as required.
• Provide feedback for program improvements by completing Program Prove Out Improvement Requests when necessary.
• Support multi-manning where machinery and product types allow.
• Assist with the company's apprenticeship program through on-the-job support.
• Report non-conforming parts immediately, establishing and documenting root causes, and inform the Machine Shop Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet company and customer objectives.

Personal Skills / Qualifications

• Full indentured apprenticeship or equivalent experience highlighted on CV.
• Experience in workshop practices and production machining, manual and CNC.

• Proficient in MS Office, email, and internet use.
