Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

1. Manufacture parts with CNC machines using industry-standard techniques, adhering to quality assurance procedures.
2. Plan machining jobs from work schedules, engineering drawings, and CAD files.
3. Program new parts and modify existing ones using Mazatrol as needed.
4. Determine work holding, tool holding, and tools required for jobs, working independently or with team members.
5. Assemble tools and toolholders, and set with a presetter.
6. Design and manufacture fixtures and work holding devices.
7. Manage tooling and material needs, check inventory, and place orders with supervision.
8. Operate conventional machining equipment as required.
9. Maintain and update manufacturing information per company directives.
10. Ensure safe operations in compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
11. Perform equipment preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
12. Keep work area clean and equipment well-maintained.
13. Arrive on time, work overtime and weekends as necessary.
14. Take ownership of work, demonstrate dependability, professionalism, and initiative.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications

1. High school machining program and/or post-secondary technical training in machining.
2. Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a prototyping or low volume/high mix environment.
3. Experience with Mazak Mazatrol is a plus.
4. Ability to set up, prove out, and run CNC machines, edit EIA programs, and manufacture fixtures.
5. Qualified with precision measuring instruments, digital and analog.
6. Ability to read drawings and specifications, with knowledge of GD&T.
7. Knowledge of work holding, tool holding, and tooling equipment.
8. Strong math skills.
9. Basic computer skills.
10. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
11. Adaptability to change and unexpected events with a positive attitude.
12. Willingness to work flexible hours.
13. Strong English communication skills (oral and written).
14. Ability to produce parts to deadlines, accurately and with quality finish.
