We are currently seeking a highly skilled Composites CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team in Silverstone. The successful candidate will be entrusted with setting up and operating CNC machines focused on composite materials, producing high-precision components that adhere to the most demanding specifications for motorsport applications. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest quality standards are met within the machine shop.

  • Set up and operate CNC machines for composite materials to manufacture precision components.
  • Conduct thorough inspections on finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers to enhance manufacturability and optimise production techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety protocols in accordance with industry standards.
  • Document production processes and maintain accurate records of all work performed.
  • Participate in the training and development of junior machinists.

What do you need to bring to the team?

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a focus on composite materials, preferably within a motorsport or aerospace engineering environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of CNC machining processes for composite materials.
  • Strong understanding of tooling selection, maintenance, and optimisation.
  • Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience with health and safety practices within a machining environment.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to meet production deadlines.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
