Job Description

Manufacture parts with CNC machines using industry-standard techniques while adhering to quality assurance procedures.

Plan machining jobs from work schedules, engineering drawings, and CAD files.

Program new parts and modifications of existing parts using Mazatrol as needed.

Work independently or with team members to determine work holding, tool holding, and tools required for jobs.

Assemble tools and toolholders, set with a presetter.

Design and manufacture fixtures and work holding.

Anticipate tooling and material needs, check inventory, and place orders with supervisor as needed.

Manufacture parts using conventional machining equipment as required.

Maintain and update manufacturing information per company directives.

Ensure safe operations in compliance with safety procedures and regulations.

Perform equipment preventative maintenance and repair as needed, testing to ensure functionality.

Keep equipment and work area clean and organized according to company standards.

Arrive on time, work overtime and weekends as necessary.

Take ownership of work, be dependable, professional, act with integrity, and work effectively with others.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications

• High school machining program and/or post-secondary technical training with a diploma, certificate, or degree in machining is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a prototyping or low-volume/high-mix environment.
• Mazak Mazatrol experience is a plus.
• Ability to independently set up, prove out, and run CNC machines, edit EIA programs, assemble and set CNC tooling, and manufacture workholding fixtures.
• Qualified with precision measuring instruments, digital and analog.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, with knowledge of GD&T.
• Knowledge of work holding, tool holding, and tooling equipment used in CNC environments.
• Above-average math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Adaptable to change, delays, or unexpected events with a positive attitude.
• Willing to work flexible hours due to changing schedules and demands.
• Strong English communication skills, both oral and written.
• Able to produce parts on time, accurately to prints, with quality finish.
