Responsibilities:
- Manufacture parts with CNC machines using industry-standard techniques while adhering to quality assurance procedures.
- Plan machining jobs from work schedules, engineering drawings, and CAD.
- Program new parts and modify existing ones using Mazatrol as needed.
- Determine work holding, tool holding, and tools required for jobs, working independently or with other staff.
- Assemble tools and toolholders and set with presetter.
- Design and manufacture fixtures and work holding devices.
- Manage tooling and material needs, check inventory, and place orders as necessary.
- Use conventional machining equipment to manufacture parts as required.
- Maintain and update manufacturing information per company directives.
- Ensure safe operations in compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
- Perform equipment preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure functionality.
- Keep work area clean and equipment maintained according to standards.
- Arrive on time, work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Take ownership of work, act professionally, and collaborate effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High school machining program or post-secondary technical training in machining.
- Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a prototyping or high-mix environment.
- Experience with Mazak Mazatrol is a plus.
- Ability to set up, prove out, and operate CNC machines independently.
- Qualified with precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read drawings and understand GD&T.
- Knowledge of work holding, tool holding, and tooling equipment.
- Good math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Adaptability to change and flexible work hours.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to produce accurate parts to deadlines with quality finish.
