Job summary

Pin Point Recruitment is seeking skilled CNC Machinists to ensure the safe, day-to-day running of allocated machines and to help meet manufacturing targets in Newcastle.

Role requires CNC turning and milling, setting/operating to tight tolerances, and welcomes experience with bespoke low-batch manufacturing and diameters up to 2.3 metres. Apprenticeship in engineering is required; reading drawings and using measuring equipment is essential.

Qualifications

• CNC turning and milling experience required.
• Able to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment.
• Experience with bespoke low-batch manufacturing and large diameters (up to 2.3 m) is advantageous.
• Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in engineering-related discipline required.

CNC Machinist

Location: Newcastle

• Rate of Pay: £16.46 £18.46 per hour (depending on experience)
• Standard Hours: Mon Thurs, 07 45
• Future Shift Opportunities (Post-Training):

Days: 07 00 (Mon Thurs) £19.26 p/h (17% increase)
Nights: 19 00 (Mon Thurs) £22.43 p/h (36.29% increase)

About the Role We are looking for skilled CNC Machinists to ensure the safe, day-to-day running of allocated machines and achieve manufacturing targets.

Key Requirements

Experience:

CNC turning and milling, machine setting/operation, and working to demanding tolerances.

Experience with bespoke low batch manufacturing and large diameters (up to 2.3 meters) is advantageous.

Skills:

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, use various measuring equipment (metric and imperial), and ensure product traceability.

Qualifications:

Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in an engineering-related discipline.
