Night shift

Job summary

Actio Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company in Ferndown for skilled CNC Millers and CNC Turners to join their permanent night shift team. As a CNC Miller or CNC Turner, you will programme, set and operate machines to produce high-quality components to tight tolerances, with first-off and in-process inspection to ensure customer specifications are met.

The role offers night shift, permanent contract and an hourly rate up to £23 plus shift

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Miller or CNC Turner.
• Knowledge of Mazatrol and/or Fanuc controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines (where applicable).
• Setting and operating CNC machines from existing programs.
• Working with Mazatrol or Fanuc controls.
• Tool setting, offsets and program editing.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Manufacturing components to tight tolerances.
• Conducting first-off and in-process inspections.
• Ensuring quality and productivity targets are achieved.
• Maintaining a safe and organised work area.

Salary: Up to £23.00 per hour + Shift Allowance

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The Role

As a CNC Miller or CNC Turner, you will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components to customer specifications while maintaining excellent standards of quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines (where applicable)
• Setting and operating CNC machines from existing programs
• Working with Mazatrol or Fanuc controls
• Tool setting, offsets and program editing
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Manufacturing components to tight tolerances

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller or CNC Turner
• Experience as a Programmer Setter Operator or Setter Operator
• Good knowledge of Mazatrol and/or Fanuc controls
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Strong quality awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
