Proactive Personnel are currently looking for a CNC Machinist who has used Doosan machine.

Hours

Monday - Friday - 7:45am - 5pm early finish on Fridays

Key Responsibilities

• Set, program, and operate Doosan CNC lathes and machining centres (Fanuc or Siemens control).
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to machine precision components.
• Select and set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for production runs.
• Perform machine setup, offsets, and tool changes to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Inspect components using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and CMM equipment to verify tolerances.
• Optimise cutting speeds, feeds, and cycles to reduce downtime and improve productivity.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure reliable machine performance.
• Work to tight tolerances and high surface finish requirements on one-off and small batch work.
• Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to ensure continuous improvement of processes.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace, adhering to company safety and quality procedures.
