Job Summary

The Machinist is responsible for executing assigned tasks in full compliance with Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures, prioritizing safety at all times.

Where required to attain 'Certified' status, team members will be trained to perform tasks safely and to high-quality standards through a rigorous Job Instruction process, aiming to achieve relevant certification as per the competence matrix and site-specific BMS/QMS.

Support will be provided by the Team Leader (TL), who will facilitate training, coaching, and respond promptly to any quality or safety issues.

Team members are expected to actively identify safety concerns, communicate issues to their TL, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen).

They will be part of a team committed to creating a 'Great Place To Work' through a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and open dialogue.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Loading, operating, and maintaining CNC mills and other machining equipment.
  2. Interpreting and executing machining instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  3. Performing routine maintenance on CNC machines.
  4. Reporting production status, issues, and concerns to relevant personnel.
  5. Achieving precise tolerances and surface finishes on various parts and components.
  6. Measuring and inspecting machined parts to ensure quality compliance.
  7. Troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions and machining issues.
  8. Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  9. Adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  10. Working independently and collaboratively.
  11. Assisting with process improvement and optimization initiatives.
Job Qualifications
  1. SPM, Diploma, Professional Certificate, or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 3 years' experience as a CNC Machinist.
  3. Experience in Aerospace or MRO industries.
  4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  5. Understanding of CNC programming, G-code, and machine control.
  6. Knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and cutting techniques.
  7. Familiarity with different CNC machines such as milling machines and grinders.
  8. Strong understanding of material properties and machining capabilities of various metals.
  9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  10. Willingness to learn new technologies and equipment.
