E3R is proud to support a long-established, family-owned business. Due to increased demand for their products, our Halifax-based client is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a CNC Machinist, you will program Fanuc-controlled Machining Centres (Vertical) to produce small volumes of components for internal products and projects.

This small manufacturing business employs around 30 people at their Halifax facility. They design, manufacture, and build machines supplied to customers worldwide. All machining and production are for internal use, with no subcontract work involved. Due to ongoing investment and demand, they are actively hiring a CNC Machinist.

Ideal candidates for the CNC Machinist role will possess:

• Formal qualifications in a relevant discipline (Apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds Level 3, HNC, HND, etc.) - not essential but preferred
• Ability to create bespoke machine programs from scratch using Fanuc controls
• Experience working on 4-axis machining centres (preferably VMCs)
• Ability to read, interpret, and work directly from technical drawings and physical samples

Working hours for the CNC Machinist:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM
• Overtime during mid-week paid at 1.5x

In return, the CNC Machinist will receive:

• Salary up to £35,000 per year (£18.00 per hour)
• Holiday entitlement: 34 days per year (including 26 days plus bank holidays)
