Job summary

Shillito Group are recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join an engineering business in Brighouse. You will be setting machines, selecting tooling and producing high-spec components to tight tolerances from engineering drawings.

Excellent knowledge of Mazak Integrex would be beneficial; you may write CNC programmes from scratch using Mazatrol; you will turn, drill and mill a range of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel and alloys. This role is based on-site in Brighouse.

Qualifications

• Setting and operating CNC turning and milling machinery.
• Writing, editing and proving CNC programmes.
• Programming using Mazatrol controls.
• Using existing programmes and creating new programmes from engineering drawings.
• Setting tooling, fixtures, workholding and offsets.
• Turning, drilling and milling components.
• Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection.
• Working to tolerances typically around ±0.02mm.
• Checking materials and components against production orders.
• Deburring, stamping and finishing completed parts.

CNC Machinist

Up to £20 per hour

Earlies and Late shift pattern

Shillito Group are recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join an engineering business in Brighouse.

They need someone who can do more than load a part and press cycle start. You will be setting machines, selecting tooling, working from engineering drawings and producing high-spec components to tight tolerances.

£20 per hour is available for someone who can confidently write CNC programmes from scratch.

Moving between machines and supporting inspection when requiredYou will be machining a wide range of materials, including:

• Carbon steel
• Stainless steel
• Duplex
• Inconel
• Aluminium bronze
• Titanium

What they are looking for

• Strong CNC setting and operating experience
• Able to write or edit CNC programmes
• Confident working from engineering drawings
• Experience selecting tooling and setting machine offsets
• Comfortable producing one-off or low-volume precision components
• Able to self-inspect using standard measuring equipment
• Experience with Mazak Integrex machinery would be beneficial
• Mazatrol programming experience would be beneficial
• Previous multi-axis turning and milling experience would transfer well
• Good understanding of lifting, slinging and manual handling
• Reliable, flexible and able to work without constant supervision
