Job summary

YT Technologies in Bristol is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support prototype hardware components from design to product validation. You will report to the Prototype Manufacturing Manager and collaborate with the CAM Programmer to produce one-off and low-volume parts to tight tolerances.

The role requires 3+ years setting and operating multi-axis mills and CNC lathes, strong G-code and GD&T skills, and precise measurement tool use.

Qualifications

• 3+ years setting and operating multi-axis milling machines and CNC lathes.
• Knowledge of Fanuc and ISO G-code programming.
• Experience using hand measurement tools (micrometers, vernier calipers).
• Strong understanding of 2D drawings and GD&T principles.
• In-depth knowledge of metal cutting tools and techniques.
• Proficient in machining and inspecting components to tolerances <10.

YT Technologies is proud to be a partner for Domin.

They are looking for a highly skilled CNC Machinist to support delivery of Prototype hardware components from Design to product Validation teams. Reporting to the Prototype Manufacturing Manager and working with their CAM Programmer, you will be pivotal in further developing their world class hydraulic systems & their applications, through machining 1-off & low-volume components to the tightest of tolerance

Essential Requirements:

1. 3+ years experience of setting & operating multi axis milling machines & CNC lathes

2. Knowledge & understanding of Fanuc / ISO G code programming

3. Competency of using hand measurement tools (EG. micrometres, vernier callipers, etc.)

4. Strong understanding of 2D drawings and GD&T principles

5. In depth knowledge of metal cutting tools & techniques

6. Proficient in machining & inspecting components to <10 tolerance

Beneficial Requirements:

1. Full online ISO/G-Code programming ability

2. Experience with Sub-spindle lathes & live tooling

3. Experience of machining Castings and/or AM components

4. Wire EDM programming & operation experience

5. Experience in setting & operating cylindrical grinders
