Job summary

Crosby Composites in Brackley is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our carbon fibre manufacturing team. Working from setup sheets generated from Powermill, you will set up and run 5-axis machines (CMS ARES and CMS Antares) under the supervision of the CNC Manager.

Core hours are 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday. We offer competitive pay, a company pension, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, private healthcare and overtime during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Machining of patterns, moulds and components in carbon fibre.
• Experience with CMS Fanuc controls is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work to high accuracy and tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run 5-axis CNC machines from setup sheets generated from Powermill.
• Machine patterns, moulds and carbon fibre components.
• Operate CMS ARES and CMS Antares machines (2 CMS ARES and 1 CMS Antares).
• Maintain high quality while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.

We have opportunities for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our company at our Brackley site. We work to the highest standards and our Laminating team are a critical part of managing this and supporting the production areas.

The Role:

Reporting to the CNC Manager and working in a small team, you will be required to set up and run 5axis CNC machines. Working from set up sheets generated from Powermill and downloading the relevant programmes.

Machine details: 2 CMS ARES and 1 CMS Antares.

In this role, we require an individual who can:

• Machining of patterns, moulds and component trimming for carbon fibre components.
• A variety of parts and materials machined.
• Experience in using CMS Fanuc controls would be good but not essential.
• You will need to have experience in working to a high level of accuracy and tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
• It would be an advantage to have a recognised apprenticeship and have gained a BTEC qualification (or equivalent).
