Job Responsibilities
- Manufacture parts with CNC machines using industry-standard techniques, adhering to quality assurance procedures.
- Plan machining jobs from work schedules, engineering drawings, and CAD files.
- Program new parts and modify existing parts using Mazatrol as needed.
- Determine work holding, tool holding, and tools required for jobs, working independently or with staff.
- Assemble tools and toolholders, and set with presetter.
- Design and manufacture fixtures and work holding devices.
- Manage tooling and material needs, check inventory, and place orders as necessary.
- Operate conventional machining equipment as required.
- Maintain and update manufacturing information per company directives.
- Ensure safe operations in compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
- Perform equipment preventative maintenance, repair, and testing to ensure functionality.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area according to standards.
- Arrive on time, work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Take ownership of work, demonstrate dependability, professionalism, integrity, and initiative.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school machining program and/or post-secondary technical training preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a prototyping or low-volume environment.
- Mazak Mazatrol experience is a plus.
- Ability to independently set up, prove out, and run CNC machines, edit programs, and manufacture fixtures.
- Qualified with precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read drawings and specifications, with knowledge of GD&T.
- Knowledge of work holding, tool holding, and tooling equipment.
- Above average math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Adaptable to change and flexible hours.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Able to produce parts accurately and on time.
