Job Details

Location: Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire

Supporting our external client in recruiting a CNC Machinist (Horizontal Borer) to join their established machining team.

Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate CNC horizontal borers (Doosan with Fanuc controls).
2. Perform precision drilling, boring, and milling tasks.
3. Maintain machinery and tools according to manufacturer guidelines.
4. Ensure safety procedures are followed, contributing to a safe work environment.
5. Maintain traceability of materials as part of Quality Assurance.
6. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Requirements

1. Time-served CNC Machinist (e.g., Modern Apprenticeship).
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience with Fanuc controls—setting, operating, and programming.
3. Proven experience with horizontal boring machinery.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
5. 5+ years relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
6. Advantageous: ability to program from scratch.
