Job summary

Tdr Training Ltd in Cramlington invites applications for a four-year CNC machining apprenticeship. You will work with highly skilled engineers to develop machining skills and gain practical experience while earning as you learn.

Over 48 months you will operate CNC lathes and milling machines, set up tooling, and practice conversational programming. The programme also develops communication and teamwork, with a view to a full-time role on completion.

Qualifications

• GCSE English Language or English Literature (Grade 4 or above) essential.
• GCSE Maths (Grade 4 or above) essential.
• BTEC Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Grade Pass) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operating CNC lathes and milling machines to manufacture precision components.
• Setting up machines, tools and materials in line with engineering drawings.
• Learning and applying conversational CNC programming techniques.
• Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Working safely and effectively within an engineering workshop environment.
