Job summary

Enterprise Recruitment Ltd in Cambridge is seeking a CNC Machine Shop Technician to join a hi-precision engineering environment. You will program, set and operate turning and milling machines (Mazak, Citizen, Matsura) with a strong emphasis on accuracy and continuous improvement.

You'll optimise processes, read drawings, and work within a team of CNC engineers to deliver high-quality components to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machining and reading technical drawings.
• Ability to work with tight tolerances and understand tooling requirements.
• Programming experience is a plus.

CNC Machine Shop Technician

Location: Cambridge

Salary: 35k-45k Shift Pattern:

Shift 1: Mon-Thurs (6am-2pm and 1pm on Friday)

Shift 2: Mon-Thurs (2pm-10pm) / 1pm-7pm on Friday

With a strong reputation within the hi-precision field of engineering technology, you'll be working out of a state-of-the-art manufacturing HQ in Cambridge, which houses a range of manufacturing, production and R&D talent.

Role Overview

Working within a team of CNC engineers, you will program, set and operate turning and milling machinery (mazak and citizen lathes, as well as matsura mills). You'll need to be able to optimise processes, with a strong focus on precision, quality and continuous improvement.

What are we looking for?

• CNC machinery background with ability to learn and grow
• Milling and or turning experience with an understanding of tight tolerances, able to read drawings and understand tools
• Programming experience - nice to have
