Job summary

Severfield in the UK is seeking a Machine Operator to monitor and maintain the processing of steel sections through an automated CNC system, ensuring a quality product is safely delivered to the next stage.

You will be responsible for setting up with the correct material and tools, checking blades and consumables, reading basic technical drawings, and using overhead cranes where required. Previous manufacturing experience and a basic understanding of health and safety are essential.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.

• Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings.
• Knowledge of overhead cranes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the processing of steel sections through an automated CNC system.
• Set up the machine with correct material and tools and fit tools as required.
• Check blades and consumables for fit and replace as needed.
• Ensure quality and safety throughout the fabrication process.
