Job summary

Manpower UK Ltd is recruiting in Bristol for 2 CNC Operators to join a busy production team and manufacture aluminium components with a strong emphasis on quality and traceability.

This permanent role offers training and development opportunities, with a rotating shift pattern: Week 1 06:00–14:00, Week 2 14:00–22:00, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. On-site parking and a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

  • Prior CNC machine operating experience essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometres, gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
  • Experience with Haas, Mazak or Hurco machines (or equivalent).
  • Experience editing CNC programmes.
  • Experience machining aluminium.
  • Experience creating fixtures and clamping arrangements.

Job description

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Bristol for 2 CNC Operators to join their production team.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous CNC machine operating experience who is looking to join a stable business offering long-term career prospects, training and development opportunities.


The role involves operating CNC milling machinery to manufacture aluminium components while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and traceability.


The Role

Working as part of a busy manufacturing team, you'll be responsible for operating CNC machinery, carrying out quality checks and ensuring production requirements are met safely and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities


  • Operating CNC milling machines

  • Loading materials and components into CNC machinery

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions

  • Producing components to drawing specifications

  • Carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment

  • Ensuring part conformity and maintaining material traceability

  • Reporting equipment issues to Engineering and Quality teams

  • Supporting continuous improvement activities within the machining department

  • Maintaining a safe and organised working environment


What We're Looking For

Essential


  • Previous CNC machine operating experience

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Desirable
