Job summary

Major Recruitment Oldham in Chadderton is seeking a Machine Operative/ Production Technician for a precision manufacturing client. You will work in a clean room environment, operate and monitor a CNC ply cutting machine, and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate production.

The role requires CNC operating experience, a strong willingness to learn, and reliability for rotating 3 on/3 off shifts. You will carry out quality checks, report faults promptly, and adhere to health and safety

Qualifications

Previous machine operating experience is essential.
CNC experience is highly desirable.
Working in a clean room manufacturing environment.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate production.
Carrying out quality checks on materials and finished parts to ensure they meet required standards.
Reporting machine faults or breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
Adhering to Health & Safety regulations, including safe machine operation and use of PPE.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor a CNC ply cutting machine to cut materials to specified dimensions.
Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions to ensure accuracy.
Carry out quality checks on materials and finished parts.
Report machine faults or breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
