Job summary

Pertemps are partnering with an established manufacturing business in Alton to recruit an experienced CNC Machine Operative. You will set and run two CNC machines, mainly lathes, and inspect your work to ensure quality standards.

The role requires reading technical drawings, using lathes, mills, drills and gear hobbers, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Work as part of a small team in a busy factory environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting and operating CNC machines.
• Ability to read technical drawings with accuracy.
• Attention to detail and reliable workmanship.
• Ability to work as part of a small manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating of two CNC machines, predominantly lathes.
• Inspecting own work to meet quality standards.
• Reading technical drawings.
• Using lathes, mills, drills and gear hobbing machines.
• Deburring items and basic turning/milling tasks.

Pertemps are working with an established manufacturing business located in Alton who are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operative to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating of two different CNC Machines, predominately lathes
• Inspection of own work to ensure it meets quality standards
• Reading technical drawings
• Using lathes, mills, drills and gear hobbing machines
• De-burring
• Manual Turning/ milling

Requirements

• Experience in setting and operating CNC Machines
• TIG welding experience is advantageous
• Hard working and reliable
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a small manufacturing team.

The CNC Machine Operative Role

• Based in Alton
• Monday - Thursday, 7am - 5.30pm
• £14 - £15 per hour depending on experience
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with length of service)
