Our long established Engineering client based in Daventry is looking to recruit a temporary to permanent CNC Machine Operative - Milling.

CNC Machine Operative - Milling Role

To manufacture automotive components, following specific guidelines provided by the section supervisor, while adhering to all health and safety legislation, company policies, and procedures. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of work undertaken and reporting any non-conformities as they occur.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and/or VMC milling centres to perform precision machining operations.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Run machines according to the speeds and feeds specified by the programs and monitor performance.
• Carry out in-cycle inspection of the parts produced, using micrometers, vernier gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.

Requirements

• Experience in engineering or automotive sectors preferred.
• Attention to detail in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using engineering measuring equipment.
• FANUC and Heidenhain control experience is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of concentration.
• Good communication skills to promote teamwork within the machine shop.
• Flexible approach and willingness to work across various areas of the shop floor.
