Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is representing a well-established manufacturer in Milton Keynes seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team. The role covers programming laser cutting machines and CNC punch/press machinery, plus creating 3D CAD models for production.

You will advise on tooling, check programs and CAD models before production, optimise material usage through nesting, mentor laser operators, and contribute to preventative maintenance and smoother set-ups.

Qualifications

• Experience programming CNC lasers or CNC punch/press machines.
• Ability to draw 3D parts using CAD software.
• Good communications and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Programming laser cutting machines and CNC punch / presses (machine training provided).
• Creating 3D CAD models for production.
• Providing advice on tooling requirements.
• Checking programs and CAD models prior to production.
• Optimising use of materials through nesting and programming.
• Mentoring laser operators.
• Preventative maintenance of machines and reducing set-up times.
• Updating the MRP system with material requirments.
