Job summary

Workforce Recruitment Group Limited in Fife, Scotland, is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator (Horizontal Borer) to join our engineering team. You will set, operate and program CNC machines to produce precision components from engineering drawings.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability and a commitment to quality, health and safety, with rotating day and night shifts. Salary is £17.01 per hour basic or £23.15 per hour with shift allowance, plus benefits and relocation

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC horizontal boring machinery
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs
• Strong commitment to quality, health and safety

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and program CNC control systems
• Produce components to engineering drawings and specifications
• Work with Fanuc and GL control systems where required
• Interpret Bills of Materials (BOM) and ensure all requirements are met
• Complete Job Instruction Sheet tasks in line with procedures
• Maintain accurate component identification and traceability
• Carry out quality checks and complete inspection documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity and efficiency
• Follow lean manufacturing and good housekeeping principles
• Ensure health and safety and tooling procedures are followed
• Support training and knowledge sharing where required
• Work to meet customer quality and delivery requirements
