Job summary

Streamline Search is seeking a skilled CNC Grinder to program, set and operate grinding machines for precision components used in aerospace, oil & gas, motorsport and nuclear sectors. You will read detailed engineering drawings and create CNC programmes, ensuring tight tolerances and robust quality.

Based in the UK, the role offers a salary of £38,000-£42,000 DOE and standard Monday-Thursday 7:00-16:00, Friday 7:00-12:00, with safe, clean working environment and opportunities to improve

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Grinder with programming, setting and operating.
• Experience reading detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience in a quality-controlled manufacturing environment, ideally ISO 9001:2015.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality components.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC grinding machines to manufacture precision components.
• Read and interpret detailed customer engineering drawings and specifications.
• Determine the most effective grinding methods and processes for each component.
• Carry out first-off inspections to ensure components meet the required specification before production runs.
• Create, store and maintain CNC programmes.
• Review works orders and work instructions to ensure machining requirements are fully understood.
• Monitor production quality and ensure components consistently meet required standards.
• Work to agreed production and run times while maintaining high levels of quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve production methods, efficiency and quality.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
