The Workshop in Havant is seeking an experienced CNC Grinder to join its manufacturing team. The role focuses on programmable centreless grinding with plunge and through-feed techniques, operating on a double-day shift to maintain a 37.5-hour week.

You will work with modern machinery, ensure high-quality grinding to specification, and support smooth shift handovers while adhering to production requirements and procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Grinder or similar grinding role.
• Experience operating centreless grinding machinery.
• Knowledge of plunge and through-feed grinding.
• Ability to operate programmable machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to follow production and quality requirements.

Are you an experienced CNC Grinder with strong knowledge of centreless grinding and experience with plunge and through-feed grinding?

A well-established engineering business is looking for an experienced CNC Grinder to join its manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on grinding experience who can confidently operate programmable centreless grinding machinery. The role operates on a rotating double-day shift pattern, providing a consistent 37.5-hour working week.

The Role

• Operate a programmable centreless grinding machine.
• Set and operate machinery for plunge grinding.
• Set and operate machinery for through-feed grinding.
• Switch between grinding processes as required.
• Complete work to required quality standards.
• Follow production requirements and working procedures.
• Carry out accurate grinding operations to specification.
• Support an effective shift handover.

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Proven experience as a CNC Grinder or similar grinding role.
• Experience operating centreless grinding machinery.
• Knowledge of plunge and through-feed grinding.
• Ability to work with programmable machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively within a manufacturing environment.

Working Pattern Double-day shift pattern

• Week 1: 06:00–14:00
• Week 2: 13:55–22:00
