Job summary

Ser- CNC division is recruiting a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair CNC milling and turning centres across the UK. The role involves nationwide travel with Northampton preference and a 8:00–17:00 schedule.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, install and commission machines, and provide preventative maintenance and breakdown support. Attractive package includes £45,000+ DOE, company car and pension.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing CNC milling and turning centres (essential).
• Able to fault-find mechanically and electrically.
• Experience with CNC servicing, breakdowns, installations and commissioning.
• Knowledge of drive repairs, PLC fault finding and Siemens PLCs advantageous.
• Familiarity with Mazak, DMG, Amada, Giddings & Lewis or similar.

CNC Field Service Engineer

Location: Nationwide travel (Preferably Northampton based)
Salary: £45,000+ DOE + Overtime + Company Car + Pension + Expenses
Working hours: 8:00am - 17:00pm per week

The Role

We are recruiting for a CNC Field Service Engineer to join a well-established machine tool company supporting customers across the UK. The role involves servicing, maintaining, repairing, installing and commissioning CNC milling and turning centres.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair CNC machine tools.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Install and commission new CNC machines.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown response.
• Perform machine alignments, ball screw replacement and machine repairs.
• Support customers across a range of blue-chip manufacturers and SMEs.

Requirements

• Previous experience servicing CNC milling and turning centres (essential).
• Both mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with CNC servicing, breakdowns, installations and commissioning.
• Knowledge of drive repairs, PLC fault finding and Siemens PLCs is advantageous.
• Familiarity with machine brands such as Mazak, DMG, Amada, Giddings & Lewis or similar.
• CNC control experience with Siemens (preferred), Fanuc or Mazatrol.
