Job summary

Thomas Lee Recruitment LTD is recruiting an Electrical Field Service Engineer to service CNC machine tools across the UK. You will install, commission, service and repair machines, diagnosing faults and minimising downtime at customer sites.

You should be able to read electrical drawings, work independently, travel and stay away overnight when needed, and have hands-on experience with Heidenhain, Siemens SINUMERIK or Fanuc controls. A full UK driving licence and manufacturer training are valued.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience servicing CNC machine tools
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
• UK driving licence and willingness to travel
• Knowledge of drives, PLCs and machine electrical systems
• Experience with Heidenhain, Siemens SINUMERIK and/or Fanuc controls
• Independent work at customer sites with good engineering judgment

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and repair CNC machinery
• Diagnose faults at customer sites to minimise downtime
• Work directly with customers to get machines back into production
• Cover electrical/electronic CNC service across the UK
