Job summary

Premier Work Support in Medway Towns is seeking aCNC Machine Operator for a permanent role within a well-established manufacturing environment. The role is 48 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 06:00-16:30 and Friday 06:00-14:30.

You will process castings, perform CNC Turning and Milling as well as manual turning and milling and drilling operations, inspect parts, and carry out first-offs. Touch-screen bookings and job cards will be logged as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or machining environment is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
• Physically capable of carrying out manual handling duties.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process castings within the machining department, including CNC Turning, CNC Milling, Manual Turning, Manual Milling, and Drilling operations.
• Process parts in accordance with engineering drawings, techniques, and work instructions.
• Inspect machined parts to ensure quality standards are met.
• Conduct first-off checks on other operators' work.
• Carry out manual handling duties.
• Complete touch-screen bookings using the bespoke Aventa system.
• Accurately complete job cards and log work carried out.
• Wear and correctly use PPE at all times.
• Maintain knowledge of chemicals used within the department, in line with COSHH assessments and MSDS.
• Understand and comply with relevant Risk Assessments and safe working procedures.
