Job summary

ASC Connections Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Applications Engineer to join an established engineering business in the West Midlands. You will move beyond production and work across programming, process development, machine testing, commissioning and customer support, with opportunities to travel internationally.

The role blends hands-on CNC expertise with applications engineering in a permanent, full-time position, offering a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 and a varied workload.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC programming and setting experience.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC machinery.
• Able to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Good problem-solving abilities and practical engineering mindset.
• Willing to travel internationally when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimise CNC programs.
• Program and set multi-axis CNC machinery.
• Produce sample components from drawings.
• Improve cycle times and machine performance.
• Test machinery prior to delivery.
• Support installation and commissioning at customer sites.
• Train customers in equipment operation.
• Provide ongoing technical and applications support.
• Assist with tooling, time studies and requirements.
• Contribute to process and engineering improvements.
