Unknown company in South East London seeks a CMM Operator / Quality Inspector to join the quality team. The role covers CMM inspection, programming, and general quality checks on small components, working with production and engineering to resolve issues.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in manufacturing quality inspection, strong CMM experience, and good metrology skills with the ability to read GD&T drawings. Good communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience in a manufacturing quality inspection role.
• Strong CMM experience including programming.
• Good metrology skills and ability to read GD&T drawings.
• Experience with non-conformances and root cause analysis.
• Good IT skills and ability to produce quality documentation.
• High attention to detail and able to work independently.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out CMM inspections and create inspection programmes and reports.
• Perform dimensional checks using micrometers, calipers, height gauges and other measuring equipment.
• Inspect incoming materials, components and finished products.
• Complete first article inspections and quality records.
• Identify and deal with non-conforming parts.
• Monitor production quality and tolerances.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Inspect customer returns where required.
• Maintain inspection equipment and records.
• Work with production and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Support supplier quality and continuous improvement.
