Job summary

Cosworth Ltd in Northampton is seeking a CMM Operator to run PC‑DMIS and Zeiss CMM machines and perform hard‑gauging on engine components. You will ensure inspections are completed to schedule and escalate issues to production and engineering when needed.

You will contribute to continuous improvement, participate in 5S activities, and liaise with manufacturing and engineering to resolve non‑conformances while keeping safety and data protection in mind.

Qualifications

• CMM operator experience required.
• Experience handling measuring equipment.
• Experience within a metrology background.
• Understanding of engineering drawings.
• Understanding of GD&T.
• Apprenticeship within Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Deliver inspection for components in a timely manner as set by engineering.
• Contribute to continuous improvement/5S activities in the department.
• Maintain flexibility to assist with workload.
• Liaise with production and engineering to resolve non-conformances.
• Consider health, safety, environmental and energy impacts of all activities.
